That day, will be a day of wrath-- a day of distress and anguish, a day of trouble and ruin, a day of darkness and gloom, a day of blackness, a day of trumpet and battle" (Zephaniah 1:15-16) Mark 24:21 Then shall be a great tribulation, as was not since the beginning of the world to this time. Throughout Scripture, the tribulation is associated with the day of the Lord, that time during which God personally intervenes in history to finish His plan. (Isaiah 2:12; 13:6-9; Joel 1:15; 1 Thessalonians 5:2). It is referred to as "tribulation in the latter days" (Deuteronomy 4:30, ); the great tribulation, which refers to the intense second half of the seven-year period (Matthew 24:21); "a time of distress" (Daniel 12:1); and "the time of Jacob's trouble" (Jeremiah 30:7). Hosea 9:7 Israel Rejected the True Prophets. The prophet says, "Israel, learn this: The time of punishment is here". "It is the time to pay for the evil things you did." The people of Israel say, The prophet is a fool. This man of God's Spirit is crazy. The prophet says, "You will be punished for your sins and for your hate." Matthew 27:22, during Jesus' so-called trial, Pilate asks the crowd, What shall I do with Jesus, who is called the Messiah?" The crowd answers, "Crucify him!" Pilate proclaims Jesus' innocence, but "they shout all the louder, 'Crucify him!'" Pilate washes his hands, declaring himself to be "innocent" and telling the crowd that Jesus' death "is your responsibility!" And the mob accepts, shouting the chilling words, "His blood is on us and on our children!" This is the state of Israel today. For Israel to hear His word or see "His Truth" They would need the Holy Spirit to guide them, Jesus is the Holy Spirit. They see only the old promises God gave them over the years before Jesus. The times God promised them victory over their enemies. They quote these now, trusting that God will save them again. With the birth of Jesus, all old promises are canceled. (the veil was torn, in the temple). We are in the new testament, they have only the old testament and God's old promises. This is the sin of pride. They are ignoring Gods sixth commandment about murder. They feel free and justified to murder, even small children, in the name of their God.. This will split the whole world, starting with the churches, governments, even families will be split as the death toll rises. Fear not, Jesus will be there to offer salvation to them. Israel will mourn when they see "the one they have pierced." Zechariah 12:10 We must do as the apostle Paul did. Pray for the salvation of Israel. Romans 10:1
